Pigpot privacy policy
Last updated: 9 October 2026
Pigpot is a personal budgeting app. This page explains what data is processed when you use the app and the pigpot.eu website, by whom and why.
In short
- Your income, expenses, budgets and goals stay on your phone. We do not receive them.
- There is no account to create and no connection to your bank.
- The free version shows ads provided by Google AdMob, which processes some technical data according to the choice you make.
- Purchases go through the app store. We never see your payment details.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Distri Plast SRL (developer name: Saykops), Jozef Huysmanslaan 65, 1651 Beersel, Belgium, enterprise number 1005.637.305.
For any question about your data: contact@pigpot.eu.
Your budget data
What you enter in Pigpot (income, expenses, categories, labels, budgets, goals) and your preferences (language, chosen piggy bank) is saved in the app's storage, on your device.
This data is not sent to our servers: we have none. So we cannot look at it, recover it for you or pass it on to anyone.
You can delete it whenever you like: in the Account tab with “Delete everything”, or by uninstalling the app.
If your phone's backup is switched on, Android may include the app's data in the backup of your Google account. That backup is managed by Google according to your settings; we have no access to it.
The CSV export (Premium) creates a copy of your transactions that only you decide to paste or send elsewhere.
Advertising in the free version
The free version shows ads through Google AdMob, a service of Google Ireland Limited. To show these ads and measure their delivery, Google's advertising component built into the app may process:
- your device's advertising ID;
- your IP address, from which an approximate location can be derived;
- information about the device and the app (model, system, language);
- your interactions with the ads.
We do not pass your budget data to Google.
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks for your choice on first launch, in Google's consent window. You can accept personalised ads, refuse them or set your choices in detail. You can change this choice at any time in the Account tab, with “Manage my ad choices”.
You can also reset or delete the advertising ID in your phone's settings.
Once a month, watching a video ad gives you 24 hours of Premium. The app records on your phone the date you used it.
With Premium, the app no longer shows any ads.
Google explains how it uses this data at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and in its privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Google may process this data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, under the safeguards provided by the GDPR (adequacy decision and standard contractual clauses).
Purchases and subscriptions
Premium purchases (monthly, yearly or lifetime) are handled by the app store: Google Play on Android, and Apple's App Store once the iPhone version is available. The store handles payment, invoicing and your payment details. We have no access to them.
The app receives from the store the confirmation of your purchase and its status (active, expired, refunded) in order to unlock Premium. We also receive sales reports from the store, without your payment details.
What the app does not do
- It does not ask for access to your contacts, photos, GPS location, microphone or camera.
- It contains no usage-statistics tool added by us.
- We do not sell any data.
The pigpot.eu website
The website is hosted by OVH SAS (Roubaix, France). Like any host, OVH keeps technical logs (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser) to keep the site running and secure.
The website uses no advertising cookies and no audience measurement. It only keeps in your browser the language and piggy bank colour you chose; these two settings are not sent to us.
If you write to us, we use your address and your message to reply to you.
Why we are allowed to process this data
- Your consent, for personalised ads and the use of the advertising ID.
- Performance of the contract, to unlock what you bought.
- Our legitimate interest, to run and secure the website and to answer your messages.
- Our legal obligations, for bookkeeping.
How long data is kept
- Your budget data: on your device, until you delete it.
- Advertising data: according to Google's rules.
- Accounting records for sales: for as long as Belgian law requires.
- Your messages: at most two years after our last exchange.
Your rights
You can ask to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict its processing or have it transferred, and you can object to processing. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Write to contact@pigpot.eu: we reply within one month. Since your budget data is not held by us, you view, correct and delete it in the app itself.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
Children
Pigpot is intended for adults. The app is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data about them.
